About Me
I grew up on a farm in Montgomery County with two brothers and one sister. I loved being involved with many different sporting activities throughout high school. In 1983 I graduated from Indiana State University, with a degree in geology and a year later I married Brad. Through my husband’s job we had the opportunity to live in several different cities: Dallas, Texas; Manhattan, Kansas; Billings, Montana; Omaha, Nebraska; and York, Pennsylvania.

While in Omaha I went back to school to get my degree in education from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Due to an illness with my husband’s brother in 1993 we moved back to Indiana. In 1997 I was offered a teaching position at Whiteland Community High
School and in 2003 I moved to the Middle School. Brad and I live in Morgantown with
several cats.
Some of the things I like to do are go hiking, biking, read, and work in the garden. I have two tandem parachute jumps from 10,500 feet under my belt. I have had the opportunity
to visit many different parts of the country and some of my favorite places
have been: Niagara Falls, New York; Acadia National Park, Maine; Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; Washington D.C.; New York City; Glacier National Park, Montana; Teton Park, Wyoming; Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming; and San Diego, California.
I really love teaching science and I am fortunate to have one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. I look forward to working with you and getting to know you and your family.
